When nature strikes, we at BKW step in to clean it up. Whether it's a hurricane, a food, or some other disaster, we're always there to help our community get back on its feet and back to business.
BKW Inc. works hard to put the world and people's lives back together after the worst day imaginable. We do this by concentrating on extremely large-scale debris management. We have the expertise to deal with complex debris streams and removal processes. In the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2005, BKW was contracted to clear debris, including vegetation, C&D, white goods, small motorized equipment, e-waste, asbestos-containing materials (ACM), and household hazardous waste (HHW). We put in more than 10 million man-hours and removed over 10.7 million cubic yards of debris, and even maintained a highly segregated debris stream in order to keep ineligible materials out of landfills and to maximize recycling.
Our years of debris management experience, our proven expertise in dealing with complex debris streams, and our rapid response and completion make us the right choice for projects requiring professional debris management services.
EROSION CONTROL
One of the most important aspects of any project is the use of Best Management Practices to control any potential erosion issues. We follow project specific Storm Water Prevention Plans that meet or exceed the standards of all relevant regulatory agencies. BKW, Inc. has always been proactive in managing this aspect of every project. We believe the best defense is a strong offense, which includes proper installation of erosion controls, daily or weekly inspections, and immediate repairs if needed.
